Quebec Hepatitis C Awareness Day
On this April 29, 2025, we issue an urgent call to action. While the goal of eliminating hepatitis C by 2030 remains within reach, Quebec is lagging worryingly behind other Canadian provinces.
The lack of concrete measures in recent election promises is alarming. We demand that political decision-makers place public health at the heart of their priorities.
The 32 member organizations of the Comité provincial en hépatite C continue to mobilize to propose effective and appropriate solutions, in particular by improving the offer of screening with rapid tests.
We invite each and every citizen to support these initiatives by signing our Plea for Intervenant-es in Quebec to be able to perform hepatitis C antibody screenings themselves. Together, let's make our voices heard by elected officials, so that health and the fight against hepatitis C become political priorities.
